Ok, so full transparency: I am not going to be everyone's cup of tea.  I am not clinical, nor do I conform to societal norms. I have ADHD and choose to live my life as the most authentic version of who I am, rather than other people's expectations of who I should be. I decided to set up Safe Harbour so that I could fully immerse myself in helping people who are experiencing any form of difficulty with their thoughts or their mental health. Why? Because I get it,

I know first hand that life can be a roller-coaster and can throw you off balance emotionally. It can change how you see yourself, your friends or the world around you, but that's okay, You are not alone. I can help.

As a child, I personally experienced abuse in many different ways; sexually, mentally, physically and emotionally. I developed some deeply unhealthy coping strategies as I grew older which were detrimental to my life, my relationships and my sense of self. It was through having some good, quality counselling that I turned my life around. Counselling became my passion and my purpose.

I'm proud to say that I studied at the highly regarded Heartwood College of Counselling and PsychotherapyTheir ethos and exceptional standard of care and professionalism is incredible. This formed the bedrock of the work I do and the codes of professional conduct that I adhere to. My time there cemented my desire to do this work.

I am determined to offer hope when hope is difficult to imagine; and to help others see that, in my counselling room, their issues, anxieties and fears and being truly heard and understood.

have a Level 2, 3 and 4 Advanced Diploma in Counselling which is accredited to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. (NCPS) I am also a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am on the Counselling Directory as well as a verified therapist with Psychology Today.

I have undertaken extra professional study in working with sexual abuse, complex trauma, suicide and domestic violence to name but a few. I am always expanding my skills and feel strongly about always moving forwards.  Please check out my Services page to see what I can offer.
